Mobile app

PLUS is a cultural social network that showcases impacting people in each African city. It allows users to discover new venues and events organized by stakeholders in the continent's growing urbanization. Initially developed for the “Lomé+” exhibition that took place in 2019 at the Palais de Lomé, this project joined the HubCity initiative to extend to all cities on the continent.

Ensuring offline functionality	Firestore was a great solution to handle offline data availability. Persistence is handled automatically

👨‍💻 Project duration and role

As the principal mobile engineer and later CTO of HubCity, I started development of PLUS in June 2019 and released the first public version in November of that year. My love for design incentivised me to handle the entire UI/UX design of PLUS. I obviously also handled the development of the app in its entirety. The project has since then been maintained by me until 2024.
